Welcome Aishwarya- National Asian Wedding Show, Excel Docklands

It took me a while to brain storm the best article to bring back the new wedding year, hence the late startup in November rather than October, nothing really shone up at me as an amazing thing to show you 2013/2014 brides to be, until I came across 'Aishwarya'.

In the past 3 years, Asian wedding exhibitions' catwalks have consisted of the same designers taking over the ramp, but the National Asian Wedding Show at the Excel docklands introduced a refreshing looks and a vibrant designer- Aishwarya.

Vibrant- bollywood inspired bridal outfit (using "bridal" carefully as I am talking about a wedding show) but her outfits were very much something a guests could also walk in with or a bride with statement jewellery!

Topshop Bridal Collection by Richard Nicoll: Hot or Not?

Topshops much anticipated Bridal range is here!!!


High street Bridal Wear is not rare, Debenham's bridal section has proven to show that high street can also cater for the bespoke wedding each bride deserves, but the much anticipated launch of Topshops's bridal collection has proven to be a big disappointment for myself. To me, it looks more like bridal underwear than a bridal dress.


Anyone that knows Topshop well, know, that they like to put a twist on the latest and most traditional trends, which is something to praise, they have become an international high street chain for a reason, but I personally believe they should have refrained from entering the bridal market, not because of their market, but for their designs.


Ranging from £200-£400, the wired, bridal underwear like dresses are very niche to taste.

Shyamal & Bhumika Fusion Style- Civil Wedding Look

For those who know about the designers Shyamal and Bhumika, they know about their traditional intricate and delicate designs. 


Working on getting their VERY Indian designs around the world, particularly the west, I never would have thought they would fuse both the western and eastern bridal looks together, especially so well.


Being from the UK myself, we tend to see and want something with a bit more of a western touch, never would have thought that this look would look so great for an Asian bride's civil look, but if anything, it looks none the less amazing!

The Launch of Saran Kohli's Stylomentary: Sleepless In Kal

The lovely team of Saran Kohlis invited me to the launch of the talented designer's latest promotional innovation of the 'Stylomentary'.

Walking down to the Buddha Lounge after a long busy day and I was honestly intimidated by the area. Located in a run down area was a pub turned bar with beautiful black and gold interior, you completely forget what the place is like outside. I, being the control freak that I am, walked in early, and nobody was there. I honestly thought I was at the wrong place or got the date wrong, until I see the man himself walk in with the most dapper self-designed menswear jacket I have seen in a very long time!

The environment was great, very friendly, it was lovely to have a great mingle with Saran and the rest of the people there who were showing their love and support.  After a few technical glitches settled, the night was under way...
