Its what I have been seeing a lot this year in weddings, and few popped up last year. The Shingaar Patti!
I remember when I first saw one in, it was in 1999 in the hindi film Hum Saath Saath Hain, where the actresses and dominantly by Karishma Kapoor wore them in the movie.

I personally am not a fan of it, but when a bride pulls it off, she really pulls it off and it looks amazing!!!
I guess these came back into trend as brides began using necklaces as an alternative to tikkas, completing the bridal look by decorating the forehead and framing their face.
The shingaar patti can be as heavy and as light as you want it, depending how much you want to cover your head or hair.
The Key to carry off the shingaar patti:
Its all about Balance and Tradition. If you are planning to wear
a shingar patti, ensure that it complements your features,
the look and it balance with the outfit and the jewellery you wear.
The biggest mistake is forgetting to balance and overdoing it by everything being too big!

The two above are the popular and traditional look in demand with brides this year. Minimal brides often opt for the top look and the traditional brides tend to go for the second.
Kyles Collection is a great way to personalise your jewellery and get it to match your outfit to its closest shade!
So if you can match your necklace, shoes and handbag, you can match your shingar patti too!

A Shingaar patti I would totally recommend for someone with large facial features. Only will it then balance out! Otherwise you may just drown in it!

Not for the simple look. If you are looking for a bit of bling with all eyes on you, this could be the one. Based on an Arabic look, even just the one for the plait would work great on a mehndi or sangeet.

Brides with the smaller features should definitely try this one! Decorating your hair and a great substitute for the brides who are looking to do something different to their hair and keep it away from their face.
For brides with dark hair and a light georgette or a net duppatta this piece will just be highlighted through.

A Half shingar patti is also an alternative to keep everything to one side. Brides looking for an alternative to the jhummar, this is beautiful!
TIP:
Do try these on, especially at your trial and ensure your makeup artist knows
exactly where to pin it!
A shingar patti is very fragile to hiding your features and taking
creating its own limelight.
A Shingar patti is there to frame your face, not cover it.

Bridal Truth
